Stephanie Goff
Dr. Stephanie Goff grew up in the Chicago suburbs and loved animals, but allergies kept animals out of her home. In middle school, her first job was walking neighborhood dogs. She attended the University of Iowa and received a Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology in 2007. A month before graduating from undergrad, she started working as a veterinary assistant at a busy private veterinary practice on Saturdays for fun. She loved it and it quickly turned into a full- time job. The veterinarian she worked for encouraged her to pursue her childhood dream of becoming a veterinarian.
She moved back to the Chicago suburbs and worked full-time as a veterinary technician at an emergency and specialty clinic while taking a few remaining pre-requisite classes for veterinary school. Dr. Goff met the love of her life while applying to vet school and they got married 3 months before starting vet school. Dr. Goff graduated from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 2016 and completed a year-long small animal surgical and medicine rotating internship at Premier Veterinary Group in Chicago.
Dr. Goff and her husband Steven have three kids; Jameson (2019), Avery (2021), and Kaiden (2023). They also have Bailey, a Great Pyrenees mix and Arya, the first cat that Dr. Goff spayed in vet school. Most of her free time is spent with her kids, but after they are in bed, she enjoys watching movies/TV shows or reading fantasy books on her kindle. She also enjoys the great outdoors – hiking/exploring new areas, camping, biking, kayaking, paddle boarding, and boating.
