Dr. Katie Pratt is a Minnesota native and longtime Chicago resident. She is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Veterinary Medicine and also holds an undergraduate degree from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism. Prior to joining the Chicago emergency team as a staff doctor, Dr. Pratt completed a one-year rotating internship with Premier Veterinary Group.

In her free time, Dr. Pratt enjoys volunteering with Rural Area Veterinary Services (RAVS) to provide care to animals on Native American reservations across the country. Her hobbies include gardening, cooking, hiking, and international travel. Dr. Pratt lives in Chicago with her husband, a very large orange cat, a wheaten terrier, and a pint-sized pit bull.
