Dr. Johanet grew up in Chicago, IL. She attended the University of Illinois at Chicago where she earned her B.S. in Biochemistry followed by her DVM degree from Ross University, graduating in 2024. 

She is a member of the AVMA, VECCS, and Association of Reptile and Amphibian Veterinarians (ARAV). Her hobbies include running, painting, and exploring Chicago with her 2 year old niece. 

Genevieve lives with her black Pomeranian Jude, tabby cat Farley, tuxedo cat Billie, crested gecko Wednesday, hamster Pisco, and red eyed tree frogs Harry and Lloyd.
