Dr. Sarah Vuolo grew up in the south Chicago suburbs and attended the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana for undergraduate studies in microbiology and her veterinary degree. She then completed a rotating veterinary internship at VCA Aurora/Berwyn before relocating to Appleton Wisconsin where she was employed as an emergency doctor at a large referral and specialty practice for four years before successfully completing a three year residency in emergency and critical care.
Dr. Vuolo then worked for three years in a large specialty practice outside Milwaukee, heading up their ICU, teaching interns, and running a journal club as well providing continuing education to the local referral community.
Dr. Vuolo was given the opportunity to join Premier Veterinary Group in Chicago and moved back to the southern Chicago suburbs with her family. Her and her husband have two children and one naughty yellow labrador. In her time away from the clinic, she enjoys running, swimming, and catching up with family and friends. Her clinical interests include mechanical ventilation, sepsis, and transfusion medicine. She looks forward to providing Chicago and the surrounding areas with emergency and critical care services for years to come.
