Dr. Podlecki grew up on the south side of Chicago in Thornton and graduated from high school in Kimberly, Wisconsin. After obtaining a B.S. in Animal Science from The University of Minnesota Twin Cities, she obtained her DVM at The Ohio State University followed by an intense one-year rotating internship at Bay Area Veterinary Specialists in San Leandro, California and subsequent ER position at Seattle Veterinary Specialists. During this time Dr. Podlecki frequently managed multiple complex critical care, surgery and internal medicine patients and served on the internship committee. Dr. Podlecki made the journey back to Chicago in 2012. While she initially worked at the Premier Grayslake location, she now manages the ER department at Crestwood full time. She has been at Crestwood through it’s transition from an after-hours only practice to a 24/7 ER . Dr. Podlecki is a huge advocate of teamwork and positive hospital morale and strives to make sure that clients and staff are as well taken care of as the patients. She understands that emergencies are not easy for pet owners and hopes to make every situation as painless as possible. In her free time, Dr. Podlecki is an avid Blackhawks fan . She also enjoys cooking, lifting weights and spending time with her two fur babies Luken and George.
